Strengths:

Linear driver control - good damping for driver.

Weaknesses:

Low efficiency - Large size required for low frequency sound reproduction.

Very difficult for sub bass operation due to extremely long wavelengths.

Moderately high diaphragm travel but not a practical sub bass option.
